, is a custom injection molder serving the appliance and automotive industries, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual for the following position in our Mendon, Michigan molding division.
JOB
Responsibilities:
Implement lean manufacturing principles on the shop floor Develop and modify plant layout incorporating new equipment and assembly lines Manage secondary equipment for all new product launches including the layout, operation, maintenance schedules and training of employees Develop and document work instructions for all manufacturing processes Identify and lead cost reduction initiatives for the plant Support the manufacturing floor on a daily basis through process flow improvements and tools for ergonomic improvements Drive labor reduction opportunities and operational efficiency improvements Develop packaging for internal and external customers Monitor, analyze and reduce scrap produced through statistical methods Monitor, analyze and reduce downtime JOB
Qualifications:
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills to work with all members of the team Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles Proficient using statistical analysis tools; Six sigma certifications preferred 4 yr degree in Engineering or a related technical field Must be self-motivated, work well independently and have excellent time management skills REQUIRED
Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years' experience working in a manufacturing environment Experience in Injection Molding is a plus Experience using IQMS software is a plus Recommended Skills Business Efficiency Injection Molding Interpersonal Skills Lean Manufacturing Maintenance Packaging And Processing Duties Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
